Zipping a File or Directory

To zip a file or directory:

1. Start your Web browser.

2. Log in to your Control Panel.

3. Click File Manager. The File Manager window appears.

4. Browse to the file or directory you want to zip.

5. Click on the file name or directory. A new window appears.

6. If you selected a file name, click Compress File (Tar, Zip).
   If you selected a directory, click Compress Directory (Tar, Zip).
   A window appears with two text boxes.

7. In the first text box, verify that the correct file or directory is selected.

8. In the second text box, type the desired path and file name for the zipped file.

9. Check Zip File.

10. Click Compress. A message appears confirming that the file or directory was zipped.
