Changing Permissions on a File

To change permissions on a file:

1. Start your Web browser.

2. Log in to your Control Panel.

3. Click File Manager. The File Manager window appears.

4. Browse to the file name of the file you want to change permissions for.

5. Click on the file name. A window appears with information about the file.

6. Click Change Permissions. The New Permissions check boxes appear.

7. Check or un-check the permissions as desired, these permissions are for the owner of the file only.

8. For a list of permissions for the world, group, and owner click Advance Options. Check and un-check the permissions as desired.

9. Click Set New Permissions. A message confirms that the permissions were changed.
