|
Message Board Title
The message board title appears at the top of the message board
page. To create a title, type the title you want in the Message
Board Title text box. |
|
Use Time Stamping
This option is most useful for high-traffic message boards. The date
(in Day/Month/Year format) is automatically placed on a message
board page when a new entry is added. To also display the time (in
hour, minute, and second format), set this option to Yes. To not
display the time, and save space on the message board page, set this
option to No. |
|
Show Link to FAQs
This option displays a link to the FAQs at the top of each message
page along with links to Follow-ups and Post Follow-ups. |
|
Allow HTML within messages
This option allows the displaying of HTML mark-up in posted
messages. If you choose to hide HTML mark-up, everything contained
within < > mark-up tags in posted messages is not displayed.
Set this option to Yes to display HTML mark-up; set it to No to hide
HTML mark-up. |
|
Quote prior messages on Replies
This option allows the text from previous messages to appear in the
follow-up text box. A > is placed in front of it to distinguish
it from the text in the current message. Set this option to Yes to
display previous message text. Set it to No to present a blank
follow-up text box to the new poster. |
|
Editable Subject Line
Three options are provided for displaying the subject line when the
user posts a follow-up.
- Set this option to Yes to include
the previous subject line in the follow-up form and allow users
to edit it.
- Set this option to No to display
the subject line in non-editable format.
- Set this option to Don't use
Subject Line in Forums to eliminate previous subject lines from
follow-up messages. A blank subject line is displayed.
